I am a flash developer, and am wondering, if I purchase the flash panorama do I get the full source code?
I am looking to use this as a rendering engine, in a much larger custom application I am working on.
Thanks,

Nope, Flash Panorama Player saves you the headache of messing with its source rendering 'engine'. You get to do cool things with it, though, and even script your own add-ons.
I hear Papervision is a nice open source headache... :)

So it isn't available even for a price...?
I need to have a complete walk-around of a building.
This looks like it is using papervision anyway... Or is it a brand new implementation, from the ground up?

You should probably be asking the developer that... :)

Do you mean like an "object vr" (where you rotate the object, looking at it from the outside), or do you mean panoramic vr, where you're on the inside looking out?
If Panoramic, then FPP can help you do that, without opening up its source code. I don't know anything about your project, but you can certainly make a "walkthrough" or virtual tour" with all kinds of bells and whistles using FPP just as it is.
If you need to do Objects, then FPP isn't the product for you. There are one or two things out there that are component-like which might help you. For more custom stuff, I could probably help out (read: consult).

AFAIK Denis isn't using PV for FPP.

That sounds like object VR (as Patrick noted) or perhaps like RealViz Vtour. In the latter case the SpiV engine might do the trick for you. In the former case check out pano2QTVR. Object VR is primarily a series of still images and building a viewer for that is relatively easy, I think.

Hey Scott:
Rain on my parade will you? Object VR is beyond the comprehension of mere mortals! There is no "easy"!
:-P
muchlove's post sounded a little like fishing to me -- but, I responded with what I hope was helpful info.
Curious -- how will SPi-V help with ObjectVR or 3D tours?

Hi Patrick,
SPi-V always had the possibility to add real 3D objects, don't think it was ever release but it has a extension (http://fieldofview.com/spv/show.php?dcr=spaceneedle.dcr) to do that ;)
And Aldo announced some time ago the Spi-V 3D viewer that goes with Realviz VTour. (check this announcment (http://fieldofview.com/spv-dev/node/395)).
Personally I started making VR tours with SPi-V (that's the main reason I find the FPP xml programing not that hard hehe), a great panorama viewer, it's fast as hell thanks to the hardware acceleration, but it's shockwave based... and FPP is nearly there ;)

Hey Paulo:
Yes, SPi-V is cool (and VTour too)!
What SPi-V is doing (with the Space Needle for example), though, isn't the same as a photographic Object "VR". SPi-V & VTour are allowing you to put 3D models/primitives/objects inside a 3D space.
I have wanted to use SPi-V since I first saw Aldo show it off in Sedona; It's too bad Shockwave's market penetration in the U.S. is small; none of my clients have ever heard of it (or had it installed)!
What I'm talking about is taking a series of photographic stills, and cycling through them to give the appearance that the object is rotating. I know the "VR" part is a bit of a misnomer. :) I think photographs are still the best way to go to get a 'true' look at a product/object.
