I use to have these tours in Quicktime and Deval - but decided to change them to flash. I also used an indexing system which works great with google.
(I have yet to do alot of work to the actual tours like new loader and limit the tripod view etc) and I have another 100 tours to add when I get time.
The site made around $15us a day in google ads - hopefully the index system will increase this + the youtube style embeding will hopefully bring more hits.
PS. I know Iframe is not the best - does anyone know how I can change this and whet it should say? - I have not investigated yet!
Cheers

Excellent!
I used to live in Mosman park in 1991 (Wellington Street/Stirling Hwy end) and it was great to see the area again. Spent many hours on Cottesloe Beach :)
Each panorama did take quite a while to load though. Not sure how big they are or whether it was just your server. It looks like a site built around Joomla but the pages still normally load fast? It's 2pm here in Ontario, 4am Perth time so not really a busy period.
I am in the middle of setting up a joomla site for Vancouver here in Canada and display something similar to yours with panorama and map. I went for the pop up window option to show each virtual tour so I could get away from iframes. All good fun but time consuming.
Will take a look at all the other panoramas later this evening.
Good luck with the site
Andrew

Hi andrew
Yes Joomla -
The server your end will run mirror from Texas so there shouldn`t be a Perth type delay.
The tours are fullscreen at the moment (viewers click on the monitor (which will be updated)- unfortunately they are .movs
I could convert them all to tiles and then have previews - but not sure if I can be bothered!;) :???:
More people look at the videos anyway unfortunately.

John,
No reflection on the site itself, quality etc. but why are you posting a KRPano site to the FPP showcase?

John posted this back in December 2007, and I remember it was FPP back then... people make different choices over time.

Thats right - I swapped to KRpano in early 2008 due to the lack of activity with the Core FPP.
Has FPP had an update since?
Cheers
John
PS - I`m still listing FPP sites on www.flash360.net (http://www.flash360.net) as an when there is a good one.
The latest one, although not technically amazing, is quite spooky - and is in FPP

FPP's version 2.2.1 was published at the end of 2007 and you say you changed to KRP early 2008 because of lacking activity in FPP?
Even to this day, FPP is the very basis for KRP to draw ideas from, apart from a few things that are unique to KRP (tiled loading for gigapixel panos, little planets and architectural views).
Has FPP had updates since early 2008? Yes. It got Flash 10 compatibility solved in December 2008 to March 2009.
Apart from that, a whole lot of plugins have been made available for the FPP community by Tommy, and of course my own Flashificator... with those addons, KRP and other players are left far far behind.
KRP is a nice player, but FPP users have access to so much more.

I just develop my own plugins as and when they are needed - I don`t see any FPP plugins that will make me use it again.
I have never tried your tour creator mate as I prefer to code in xml or dynamically with php - I find its fairly rapid that way. But I understand why its popular.
