I just finished a small Virtual Tour in a big musicshop here in Belgium. This time I used cubes instead of stripes. Hope this works better in the new Flash version.

Hello Yvan
Super design as always.
Perfect presentation which I guess anyone also without VR experience will be able to use without any instructions.

I looked at your XML as your panos behave very smooth. I guess the main reason is that you use as low as 20 for the segments.
Usually that would mean a lot of wavy lines but I do not see that.
I would have expected it in the walking plates in the floor.
Also your cubes are 1500x1500 which gives good resolution for fullscreen.

I have just made a demo with some panoramas that have a long horisontal see line and there is no way I can use less than 30 as segment. It looks awful even at 25.

Hi birdseye :)

Nice tour, as always :P

Why did you used stripes and not cubes? Or mov's?

PS: if you don't mind I'm going to study your xml to see how you did that zoom onClick :P

Hi Guys,

That is some nice work...as Hans said very smooth...much smoother than my stuff...lol

This may be an obvious question but.....How do you pull up the xml? I can "view source" but that gives me the html...Hans...how did you look at the XML ?

If you happen to have a Mac it is easy.
In Safari just look in the menu Windows/activity

Find the xml in the download list and click on it. You have to save it to read it.

In Windows you have to look in the sourcefile for it and ad it to the URL .

In some cases it is not in the embed code but than you can usually find it with the same name as the swf file. if the link to the swf says pano.swf the xml is pano.xml

Hi Yvan:

No more panoramas from Belgium! You've hit your limit!

Nice presentation -- The dramatic stage lighting makes for an interesting view.

One thing I notice is that "piens/images/video.flv" gets loaded twice (4.4MB each time). I guess that makes sense since you have it in there as two boxes. When I clicked on the video, nothing happened -- should I be able to see it larger?

Also, when you click a hotswpot on the floor, the dropdown menu doesn't change to reflect the new pano.

Otherwise -- SWEET! Nice presentation...

Cheers,

Thank you for the nice reactions everyone :)

@pauloggpx go ahead for the code. I learned from Hans 's code too ;) (I hope you don't mind Hans ;)

@Cheathamlane. I know the video is loading two times. there were 2 monitors on the wall. I wish I knew how to use one video source for two hotspots.

Yvan.
