I have an FPP multi-pano presentation which loads all the usual suspects -- panorama (cube faces, for now), hotspots (mostly PNG buttons), and so on.
The hotspots are all "static" -- that is, they remain for the duration of the presentation regardless of which panorama you're viewing (like pan, tilt, zoom buttons) -- except for an mp3 player swf hotspot. This is the "jw" mp3 player, I think, which works great for my needs.
Sometimes the MP3 is sizeable (say, > 6MB), and takes longer to load than the panorama does. It's possible to load a new panorama before the MP3 has finished loading. I've found that loading a new panorama while the MP3 is still loading causes the FPP presentation to "hang". That is, the new pano pauses at (roughly) 80% loaded and doesn't load more until the MP3 has finished loading.
Sometimes this can be noticeable.
Is there a way in Flash to give precedence to loading? I'd like to tell the MP3 player to PAUSE loading when a new pano instance is requested. Then, once the new pano is loaded, precedence can go back to the MP3 player.
Apologies if I missed something obvious -- I usually do. ;)
Cheers,
