Code Stealing = Shame

Hi all

I'm sorry but since i saw my code and graphics about the compas were stolen by the user of this forum SANALVIDEO without any autorisation request, i'm not in the mood to share and write any tutorial on this anymore.

So if you want you can help me to blame that behaviour, please don't help that user anymore!!!

In addition to that, this user found a way to protect his html code, so here's a typical unacceptable behaviour.

I think we're all here to learn and make web VR better as a team. He definately used your xml as a guideline as do many of use each other's work to learn from. However, I disagree with your attitude about it. It's just my opinion, but his work does not look like yours and ultimately, code is code whether we copy it or write from scratch - to get a similar result, the code will be similar.

Many of us have asked here for your input, only to be ignored. Therefore, those of us who are more eager to learn, act and get results turn to taking code from our cache to learn from.

Personally, I've learned from much of the work I've seen showcased here, but I've done my own code based on the tutorials and xml files to get my own results.

I don't think what you've written is justifiable as copyrighted. Ultimately, the code revolves around Denis' product and will react in only a certain manner as written in a certain way.

If no one learned from others, the web would belong to one guy.

Maybe I stand alone in this opinion, but that's the way I see it. I would have liked to learn from you and your work, but now I don't really want to ask for your assistance due to this post.

I understand that you're displeased seeing that your code and graphics have been used without your knowlegde and permission and I totally agree that this is unacceptable. On the other hand, I think it was a pity if you stopped helping others with this map thing. I see you're very active in this forum and give a lot of hints and support to people. I hope you do not get too discouraged by this and see that there are enough people out there who respect other's work and copyrights...

Besides, his html-code-protection isn't too good anyway. I mean, I'm not a pro or something, but he's just using "unescape" to decrypt the usage of the file "http://www.sanalvideo.com/flash2/0012.js", which also contains 'encrypted' escape-code. You can easily 'decrypt' that for example here (http://www.salesianer.de/util/rot13.html). In plain text it says:

As long as there is no possibility to encrypt pano-files (like it has been asked for here (http://flashpanoramas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=287&highlight=encrypt) and here (http://flashpanoramas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345&highlight=encrypt) in this forum), it can always happen that someone steals your code. Although I'm not (yet) a great 'pano-coder', I would also feel better if Denis invented a way to protect the code.

Well, I won't comment one way or the other -- but the person who benefited so obviously from Jaber's hard work could have at the very least used DIFFERENT IMAGES!

Also, there is a typo in that person's XML file... :-P

Don't be childish jaaaab. Several times you announced publishing a tutorial, which you never did.
Better publish the tutorial, so nobody needs to steal anything and you can keep your code.
I totally agree with amonline and also will not ask you for any help.

No intention from me to keep my code secret about compas, i just didn't had the time to finish the tutorial i began, cause that's not a little deal to make this simple for everyone, coders and non coders, as this feature needs a lot of code!

Anyway, nothing can protect from code stealing, but the behaviour i blame is that oneperson should ask for it before , i see no reason to refuse.

But doing this in your back? that is childish!

I will definitly produce this tutorial, but as you can understand, i have to focus on things that makes me eat first ;)

Hey Jaab , what do you mean ? are you "god" of the web and noone can use any code without asking you ??? This is not stealing, this is improving !
and phberlin , for you the best encrpt is coming soon, this one was only for beginners, however.. nothing can be secret.. :)
So , Jaab you will also tell the the TV idea was yours ? If you will say yes, then I have to tell I have different ideas about bathroom and some others too. when I finish, you can tell they r yours too.
About the floorplan code, yes, I had help from your codes, I dont need to ask you, because it is not finished yet :) by the way.. your code had also some mistakes and I fix it... but you are not the only one who makes floorplans . I can show you many examples. u want ? I think u already have seen most of them on internet ??
I have seen the eye graphic is not yours ! I can also show it with many examples.. u want this too?

of course u can use all when u DO NOT use the " PANORAMIC PICTURES " . there is only one code and there is no other way to do it ...

Did i meaned that? i only meaned some guys don't know what "Nethic" means and they should learn it. Especially when there's a copyright on the site you're stealing code from. I remind you all type of creation profits of copyright even if it's a graphic or a code or whatever.

If the first man who imagined our language, words, etc did copyrighted it, how we can speaking now and understand each other?
If your own children can't do as you do, you the father, because of some foolish copyrights, how they can become adult ?
I think "code" is a language, only a language. And we all take inspiration from each other in any aera, things, etc. That the way mankind can grow up!

Living with fear is bad. Think from where copyright idea takes his originally source? From fear! :???:

I think your first post lets feel it was not very courteous for sanalvideo!
Why directly write for all of us "do not help this guy from now", and not asked directly to sanalvideo "Why did you use my graphics, I hope you will change them as soon as possible, and how do you like my code" ?

Anyway you do as you want, I'm not perfect ;) I'm also looking for courtesy. So have a good day!
