We are working with the mp3hotspotx.swf plugin and are trying to get a background audio file to "seamlessly" loop. It appears there are some limitations/technical difficulties with getting an MP3 to be loopable without the "glitch/pause" I have done many google searches on this topic and found some interesting work arounds. But all relate to the fact that MP3 format/encoding will always have a pause/silence at the beginning when encoding normally without tricks.
What are other people doing out there with seamlessly looping audio clips? Is there a way to stream WAV formats? Our loops would still be small enough as to not bother most people with broadband. Of course this wouldn't be a good solution for the entire song of your favorite band as that might be a 10MB WAV file.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Plugins?
thanks everyone.
