Any help on this issue would be highly appreciated:

Sorry for directing out of the forums here, but it's already got a few posts...

As far as doing that in FPP, best bet would probably be to create the image as a static spot, using some arrows to move it left/right/up/down, like in the example, with motion tweens. Only downfall is it wouldn't be draggable.

So this issue should actually reach Denis... maybe he can add it to the list of things to do for 2.4? (if he hasn't already taken care of it)
Many thanks for your input siesfor!

very simple solution would be to use the pano2vr inside FPP?

Well the example at Flashificator is not a Pano2VR panorama.
It has to be a 1 image object flash.
Just as we used an QTVR Object movie as a zoomable image.
In reality you should be able to use Zoomify for this but using Zoomify inside FPP is not as easy as it sounds first.
As far as I can see at least the free versions needs to have the path set in Html.
There is a discussion here

Se the last pages for an FPP Zoom plugin. VRego where are you? Any news about it.

I guess most of these could be used inside FPP

A couple of them works very nice. This one for example

Sincere thanks to you guys for clearing this up.
It would be nice to have this function as a part of FPP.

Answer NO
None of the current flash panorama viewers has both "flat panning" and perspective panning. Thats the main issue of the original question.

No, this is not flat.
Move the pano to the extreme left and down. Fix your eyes onto a point in the pictureat the bottom right corner. Now move the pano to the right, following the point you fixed your eyes on. It will move in an upwards curve, then it will move in a downwards curve.
That is proof of this not being a flat pano, but a part of a cylindrical pano.
