Here is something I found strange.

Here is a pano I was putting on a website.

This one is using the latest pano.swf
Using cubefaces

www.cuial.com/fudd_pano/fudd_new.html

This one is using an earlier version of pano.swf

www.cuial.com/fudd_pano/fudd_old.html

Now - on a mac they work the same way.

On a PC running Safari they work the same way.

On a PC running Explorer 8 the new version can

go wacky and wants to pan & tilt all crazy ways.???

The OLD version on a PC with Explorer 8 runs fine???

Any ideas??? Can someone try there projects using the

latest .swf version of FPP on a PC running explorer???

Both versions run fine in Firefox on PC???

Here are some settings in the first xml I did.

keySensitivity=20
sensitivity=100
threshold=0.0000001
friction=0.875

I just made some other versions without that info:

www.cuial.com/fudd_pano/fudd_new_ver2.html

This one is using an earlier version of pano.swf

www.cuial.com/fudd_pano/fudd_old_ver2.html

And about the same results:

I have looked at some other projects using the 2.3.1 version
and they also exhibit the same behavior on my PC using Exloprer 8???

Thanks

Hi izoneguy,

I really enjoyed your pano!

And I couldn't find anything peculiar about it - no strange panning or tilting using IE8 on Windows XP. And I copied your settings to one of my panos - no difference.

I know the problem. Seen it many times on Mac Safari also but never found out what caused it.
However I have not had it at all since i started using the last pano.swf.

BTW Have you tried to install multiple Explorers for testing.
I have always been irritated by this stupid Windows restriction,
Did a search and found some pages.
http://www.demogeek.com/2008/11/04/install-multiple-versions-of-internet-explorer-on-windows/.

I have 4 different Virtual PCs installed on my old PPC Mac but they are to slow to run Flashpanoramas.
Would be nice if I did not need to do the same with my Parallels XP.

Hmmm,

I did not go for the 2.3 ver right away because of the wierd shifting
problem. So I used the 2.3.1 version for the pano you see.
Perhaps it is my particular computer??

Since going MAC in 2007 I have not liked to use my PC
for anything - except to test compatibility. Of course all my
ad agency clients only use MAC anyway so I am safe there.

But I still have a far amount of clients that are stuck on PC
because of corporate rules. Of course when I bring my MAC's into
that environment they droll all over my wireless keyboard.

Once they see Keynote vs. PowerPoint it is always good for a laugh.

MAC is the way to go.

I just fired up an old computer I had bought for my wife last year.
A crappy little dell that came bundled with VISTA. The worst OS ever
made by MicroSoft.

The panos played fine using the new pano.swf BUT I checked some
other panos and found graphics would not load and an inconsistent
loading at that. I could clear the cache and some would come on
and others would go off???

I bought my wife a Mac Mini and I don't hear near the problems
she had with the dell. If you make a living like I do with media then
look at the iMac 24" - all decked out I think I spent $2700 and it
is worth every penny. I have a bag for it and can easily transport
it to a clients office for working sessions. I will not be buying or
supporting MicroSoft anymore if I can help it......

Anyone else have problems with VISTA?
Most of my corporate clients are reluctant to upgrade to
XP muchless VISTA... I still have to work on stuff that will
run on Windows 2000 running off of slow CD-rom drives.
Ahhhh the joy.

Amen to that.

Problems with Vista? You bet!

I have lived with Windows since Release 1.0 and at one point long time ago I really liked it. But now - they are virtually lightyears behind OSX - and I have bought my last PC...

I have an mac mini like your wife, it works despite it's so tiny great for these quite heavy pictures involving panoramas, and just goes and goes painlessly... :D
