View Full Version : Any info on using camera.swf?

I've tried using the camera.swf file, and I do now get the Flash message that Flash wants to use my camera and microphone. But how do I then actually show something from the built-in webcam in my MacBook Pro in a pano?
The info that comes with the swf file is (as usual) almost humorously brief, and my usual next steps - searching this forum and efforts at direct experimentation - haven't managed to get me anywhere.

set it up as a hotspot, like you would the flvplayer...
<box id="camera" url="camera.swf">
You can see a sample in the blog...

Brilliant, thanks! I had tried that particular code form without success, and the link you gave also didn't work... but then a comment further down that page suggested right-clicking the pano, choosing Settings and enabling my specific camera. It had been set to DV input rather than the MacBook Pro's built-in camera (which is identified as a USB device because of its internal connection type). Once that was changed it worked perfectly.
Still, this means it is likely that others will have similar issues. One best suited to more controlled environments, I guess.
Once again - thanks!
