View Full Version : How to shoot bottom image?

I just wonder that u have some secret way to shot full 360x360 panorama photos. Ists quite easy when u have panoramic head with nodal point do 6-9 horizontal pictures with 8mm lenses. Also its quite easy to shot top, with such head. But what u do to make bottom picture? Without tripod legs and head mount?? I tryed some trick but i always fail sad. Share this secret knowledge ;] Thx

there are a lot of ways to do this.
by hand. (but not that easy if you use HDR.)

Turn your panorama head downwards and take a pincture at 0 and180 degrees (makes your nadir patch smaller.)

turn yor pano head at 45 degrees downward on your tripod and let it rest on 2 legs of the tripod.. and hold the third leg level the camera to around 90 degrees.
(look out your tripod does not smack to the ground)!

buy a horizontal part (studio equipment) where you can mount your camera on.
very handy for low light pictures.

Shooting a perfect nadir is very simple.
You can do it with the help of a support from amonopod or just by leaning the tripod.
You do not need to remove the camera from the tripod.

In most case I'd just clone out the black hole on bottom (6 face cube) by using the other part of the floor to fill in in photoshop.. grass, pattern floor, cement, etc.. it all can be done that way without shooting nadir shot at all...
