By realizing the benefits of FPP I decided to jump on the bandwagon, but since I have only the good old Flash MX (v. 7.) I am unable to customize the FLA source files.
If any of the members have them saved in MX or will be so kind as to save them for me I am ready to pay for his time and services.
Thanks in advance

Hi Tamas,
Welcome to the forum! I think it is more complicated than you realize: unless I am greatly mistaken, Flash MX can't handle Actionscript 3, and resaving a flash 9 file with AS3 as Flash MX, if even possible, won't convert the AS to AS2 for you. Additionally, the AVM for flash 9 does not interoperate overly much with the AVM for Flash 8 and below, so you can't make direct calls into FPP. You would be relegated to using LocalConnection, which can get you a reasonable amount of access, but certainly not complete access. If you look for the AS2 controller.fla, you should be able to open that, and it'll would give you a place to start with what you can do.
On another note: are you sure you need to mess with the source files of to make your own plugins or smart hotspots? The whole point of the XML file is to allow designers not to need to use Flash in order to make a Flash delivered panorama. And the source for FPP is not open nor available either.

Hi Zephyr,
I am not an expert in Flash and AS programming (and do not have much time to get in-depth knowledge either), but first of all I wanted to create a customised glassMeter (localised version) and later some more sophisticated interface like this:

Hey Tamas:
Your best bet, if you want to edit FLAs for use with FPP is to upgrade to an AS3 friendly version of Flash. I don't think there are many FPP plugins which are AS2, anymore. :(

Sure, I will consider, but also look for some local guys with AS3 skills and tools.

Hi Tamas
Welcome to the club.
You do not need flash to make a glassmeter.
Buy Zephyrs loadmeter plugin and you can do it all in Photoshop and even place it where you want in the image

Hi Hans,
thanks for the advice. Just bought it and will start experimenting with it tomorrow morning with some fresh brain.
Best,
Tamas
