Hi Guys,
I am looking to alter the 'Press Esc to exit full screen mode' popup when the user enters full screen mode or simply remove it completely.
Any ideas?

HI,
it's a flash player thing, FPP has nothing to do with it. Also Adobe has admitted that it has overlooked the localization of the Fullscreen text (don't recall were i read it).
So I don't think that's possible, sorry...

Cheers,
I had a feeling that might be the case.
Perhaps in a future flash update this may be possible.
Martyn.

I wouldn't count on it becoming possible in any future flash updates. I believe that Adobe pops that notice up for, amongst other reasons, security, so that sneaky people can't write a .swf that presents a display just like your normal OS and cons you into giving up some valuable information. And that security concern won't alleviate itself with future flash player releases.

Yeah, thats a very good point.
The way that my code is currently set up is that when the user presses my full screen button it loads a hi-res version of the small screen 'lo-res' virtual tour. This also happens in reverse when in full screen mode.
The esc button unfortunately interferes with this system.
Just a side question on this:
Do you know if its possible to use onkeypress : (esc key) I have not tried this but just wondered if anyone else has or knows if its possible?

Hey,
I have tried everything I know to get round this, I wanted to add functionality to the ESC key so that I could call other functions when exiting fullscreen, there is literally no way of disabling this, when you fullscreen after the "press esc key to exit" message appears. All keypress functions are disabled until the page is restored to normal scaling. This is a dead end I am afraid, but it might save you time looking for a solution.
Cheers,
Ringo
